I can’t believe it’s only a few weeks until Kristen and Mike’s wedding! I had a great time with them last summer in Boston, and will soon be seeing them for their fabulous wedding in Newport, Rhode Island – can’t wait!

Happy Valentine’s Day!! To celebrate Valentine’s week, I am officially declaring this to be “Kim & Julien Week!” Today, their engagement session… Tomorrow, their wedding photos… Thursday, their photobooth photos. Why? Just because! They are an awesome couple, and I loved everything about their engagement session and wedding – they definitely wanted to put a lot of themselves and their personality into it all. I love it when a couple chooses a location for their engagement shoot that is significant to them in some way, and Kim and Julien are, of course, big Red Sox fans. I had never been to Fenway before their shoot – it was so much fun! And then we went to the Public Garden for some more “traditional” engagement photos.

I am a horrible blogger! Not only because it’s been so long since my last post, but also because this wedding was from 2009, and I’m still catching up on blogging from then! I do have a good excuse for being busy back then – after all, I got married myself and bought a house during the fall of 2009, but *still*. I couldn’t let Lindsey and Eli’s wedding sit on my back-up hard drive any longer without sharing it… All the great details, the beautiful day at the Public Garden, and the fun everyone had at the historic Castle at BU (Boston University) – here goes!

Oh, I almost forgot to mention – we took a short walk from the Public Garden to the famous Acorn Street – supposedly the most photographed street in Boston, and I had never seen it before! Go figure.

Mary Beth & Matt suggested doing their engagement photos in December when Boston is lit up and decorated for the holidays… And, even though it was pretty chilly, I think it was a great idea! We met first at the Boston Public Library, and were able to get some great shots inside and in the courtyard there as well. We then headed to the Public Garden and Commons for some more. With their big smiles and easy laughter, I think the wedding is going to be a lot of fun!
