Another wonderful wedding from last summer! I am so lucky to have clients like Liz and Jim… They truly made me (and my second shooter Heidi) feel like one of the family and just like we were guests celebrating there with them… And we just happened to bring along our cameras to document their beautiful day!

They live in Plymouth, and decided to stay close to home with the wedding ceremony at St Peter’s Church right there in town, and then the reception at Plimoth Planatation! I didn’t know that the historic site does weddings, but it was a great location for it. They actually had another wedding going on in a tent down the hill – Liz and Jim’s reception was in the visitor center, which was beautifully decorated with their seaside theme (love it!), and the gorgeous flowers done by Artistic Blossoms.

Loving the seaside theme, including the starfish in Liz’s necklace, and somehow they got those little seashells in the flowers – neat!

We took a nice long break in between the ceremony and reception… First, we took off for a local park where Liz and Jim regularly go for walks and which had a lot of meaning for them. I love being able to incorporate that into their wedding pictures! Plus, it’s a beautiful spot. :)

Part Two of Meg and Sean’s wedding at Willowdale Estate! I asked Meg to fill out a short questionnaire about the wedding and any planning/wedding advice, here is one of my favorite parts, and a good thing to remember -

Take mental snap shots throughout the ceremony and reception. I tried hard to really take in everything and still to this day can close my eyes and see Sean in detail standing in front of me at the altar with Willowdale in the background. I also stepped back from the reception a few times and can picture in my head the tent, the guests, the band, everything. It really does go by so quickly so in the moments of heat and stress just remember you only get one chance for this and it’s a waste if you don’t try to savor and enjoy every minute!

What can I say about Meg and Sean? They are probably one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met, and over the course of their engagement, they made me feel like a friend and helper in their planning (I did point them in the direction of their wedding band – the awesome Groove Authority, a wonderful choice if I do say so myself :))… So, I was pretty excited for their amazing wedding at Willowdale when it finally came last June! I knew it would be as laid-back, warm and fun as I had found them to be.
