Northshore Backyard Wedding || Krysia and Michael
When I first met with Krysia and her mom (about 10 months before the wedding), they were already telling me about all the plans they were making for the amazing backyard landscaping that would be the focal point of Krysia and Michael's wedding. They did all of this themselves! As a novice gardener, I am just in awe. Not only did they create this beautiful backdrop, but they made the bouquets and centerpieces themselves, folded all of the origami cranes, and even made most of the food for the reception.
When I first arrived to look around and start shooting, I asked Krysia's mom where she was - "Out back getting the pony ready" - she was all done up with her hair and makeup, and she and her sister were putting the roses in the pony's mane!
I love it - Krysia's puppy, along with the family's rescued goat and pony were part of the wedding procession. The bridesmaid with the goat had her hands full!
More gorgeous details and flowers.
Michael's niece was just the cutest flowergirl... And can you imagine it - being able to dress up in a pretty poofy dress *and* ride on a beautiful white pony all at the same time?!
I remember part of Michael's best man's toast - "believe it or not, we southerners usually do not have farm animals in our weddings" - I think I remember it because I am also originally a southern girl. Ha!
Did I fail to mention that it began pouring down rain halfway through the reception? No worries, the party goes on!
Even when the power started going on and off... that didn't stop the party!
Dad got the generator going! Whoohoo!
