Willowdale Estate Wedding || Meg and Sean
What can I say about Meg and Sean? They are probably one of the sweetest couples I've ever met, and over the course of their engagement, they made me feel like a friend and helper in their planning (I did point them in the direction of their wedding band - the awesome Groove Authority, a wonderful choice if I do say so myself :))... So, I was pretty excited for their amazing wedding at Willowdale when it finally came last June! I knew it would be as laid-back, warm and fun as I had found them to be.
Ceremony & Reception: Willowdale Estate, Topsfield, MA
Also, thanks to Kimberly Jones for being my second shooter on this wedding, and capturing some incredible images!

I always love all the details at Willowdale Estate! I could spend all day just wandering around and photographing all the little nooks and gardens there.
What a gorgeous bride Meg is! The bridal suite at Willowdale is a photographer’s dream with this floor length mirror (perfect for an emotional moment or two when she first gets the dress on), amazing window light, and perfect spots to showcase the details and dress while it’s waiting for it’s big moment :)
Just a few butterflies before walking down the aisle! I love being there for these moments.
What a gorgeous courtyard wedding ceremony at Willowdale, just perfect.
It started raining a bit while we were finishing up the formal photos, so we used this little overhang in the courtyard area of Willowdale to do a few photos with those beautiful green doors.
I asked Meg to fill out a short questionnaire about the wedding and any planning/wedding advice, here is one of my favorite parts, and a good thing to remember - Take mental snap shots throughout the ceremony and reception. I tried hard to really take in everything and still to this day can close my eyes and see Sean in detail standing in front of me at the altar with Willowdale in the background. I also stepped back from the reception a few times and can picture in my head the tent, the guests, the band, everything. It really does go by so quickly so in the moments of heat and stress just remember you only get one chance for this and it's a waste if you don't try to savor and enjoy every minute!
Beautiful details - but Willowdale doesn’t need much help - the backdrop is gorgeous!
