Searles Castle Wedding || Katelyn and Cory

What an amazing day for a wedding at Searles Castle! It was a grey chilly September day, but past the great foyer with it's marble fireplace and winding through the corridors of the castle, Katelyn was upstairs, warm while surrounded by her mom, soon-to-be mother in law and all of her closest friends. Soon enough the frenzy of the day would begin, but they enjoyed all of those little last rituals of makeup and jewelry before Katelyn went out to see her groom for their first look. The damp day did not keep anyone from enjoying themselves, the party went on long into the night, with everyone on the dance floor.

Ceremony & Reception: Searles Castle, Windham, NH

Well, it's taken me a little over a year to get this one to the blog, but I hope it will be worth the wait! Katelyn & Cory, congratulations, and an even bigger congrats on the little person you welcomed into the world this fall. :)

And thank you for inviting me to be a part of your Searles Castle Wedding!

Searles Castle is such a beautiful backdrop for a wedding! So dramatic.

I love this moment, as Katelyn was getting her dress bustled and fixing her hair after the ceremony and before the reception… And Cory is in the doorway, looking adoringly at her <3

Katelyn & Cory's niece and nephews were definitely enjoying themselves on the dance floor.

Oh my gosh, this was probably one of the funniest DJ games I've ever seen... There was one contestant from each table, and they had to run back to their table to grab a specific item for each round (drink straw, men's tie, a shoe, etc), and then get back to their seat as fast as possible (like musical chairs)... The guests *really* got into it, and it really started the party in a fun way.

Mmmm... I could really go for some cappuccino and a piece of cake right about now!

Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your Searles Castle wedding!
