New Hampshire Wedding Venues
Whoohoo! This list is several years in the making… I just wanted to make sure I have a good, diverse list of some unique wedding venues in New Hampshire for you to choose from. While I have been living in southern New Hampshire for the past ten years, I had actually been shooting most of my weddings in the greater Boston area (which I still do a lot of, and love!). However, I was hoping to get some more experience shooting in my own home state, and I am so glad I did. After traveling the state, I am even more in love with all that New Hampshire has to offer. From the mountains to the sea, lakeside to cute little towns.
Can’t wait to add even more to this list of NH wedding venues!
Inn at Pleasant Lake Wedding
This place is a quaint little inn that is tucked away in New London, NH, at - you guessed it - Pleasant Lake!
The Inn has room for smaller weddings inside (or winter/off season), as well as a large yard for tented weddings. They also have the option to use the barn for your ceremony and/or reception. I have photographed all of the above, and they do a fabulous job no matter what! I always get my clients to take the short walk to the lake to get some picturesque photos of the lake with mountains behind. Even if you don’t book your wedding here, you have to check our their in-house restaurant, which has an amazing farm-to-table menu.
Barn on the Pemi Wedding
The Barn on the Pemi might be one of my new favorite wedding venues in New Hampshire. It’s just toooo cute. I mean, the view of the mountains is absolutely spectacular. But I love the little cabins! And the barn itself is one of the larger barn spaces I’ve seen in New Hampshire, with the upstairs also being utilized during the reception/dinner. The Greenhouse is also an incredible and unique space to have your wedding ceremony.
Loon Mountain Wedding
If you’re looking to get married at the top of a mountain, then Loon Mountain is the perfect spot for you! And it’s even accessible for people in wheelchairs, as you ride in a gondola to go up to the top of the mountain (we also got some fun photos during the ride). The view cannot be beat if you want to be surrounded by the White Mountains on your wedding day.
Bedford Village Inn Wedding
Bedford Village InnThis place knows how to do weddings! If you have searched “new hampshire wedding venues,” the Bedford Village Inn was probably at the top. They have several different rooms depending on your needs, and I love the garden/courtyard for the ceremony. The main ballroom has these huge windows on one side and a barn-style feel for the dancing space.
Locke Falls Farm Wedding
I was so lucky to photograph a wedding at Locke Falls Farm in September, when these beautiful pink hydrangeas were blooming all over the property. I’m sure that any time of year would be amazing for a wedding here. There’s a spacious farmhouse that you get to use for your full wedding weekend, an old-fashioned barn where you can have your cocktail hour, and a brand new barn-inspired space with lots of windows for the reception.
Zorvino Vineyards Wedding
Who doesn’t love a vineyard wedding? And Zorvino is right in southern New Hampshire! The inside space is warm, with lots of wood tones, and a huge fireplace as the centerpiece (Chris and Leah had their indoor ceremony right there in front of it, and it made a great backdrop). Plus, of course the vineyards are gorgeous, there’s a cute red barn, and did someone say alpacas? Yes.. yes, they did.
Fuller Gardens Wedding
I think of Fuller Gardens kind of like a Unicorn… An incredible rose garden, with a small garden, classical accents, a greenhouse - that is right by the ocean? Who knew? Not me! At least, not until I was invited to photograph a wedding there.
Camp Takodah Wedding
If you’re looking for a laid-back fun filled wedding weekend, a camp wedding is right for you! Camp Takodah has a picturesque pond to get married in front of (there are all these cute benches that go up the hill for the guests to sit on), tons of cabins for all your guests, and the main lodge for the reception.
Fox Point Wedding
Fox Point is in Newington, NH - right outside of Portsmouth. This is such a lovely spot! Margaret and Tom exchanged their vows amidst the towering pines (which was so perfect for these nature-lovers). It was a tented wedding with so much space for lots of guests to wander around, play games, and enjoy the food trucks they brought in. This is definitely a DIY venue, but it’s gorgeous and easy to get to!
Wentworth Inn Wedding
The Wentworth is a classic Inn at the heart of the White Mountains. If you are a nature lover, but not necessarily a fan of “roughing” it, you can’t go wrong here. Just a quick 5 minute drive to an amazing spot where you can get photos in the middle of the river with mountain backdrop, not to mention the too-cute red covered bridge in Jackson.
Kitz Farm Wedding
Kitz Farm is an up and coming spot if you’re looking for a barn wedding! Plus it has a gorgeous ceremony spot at the top of the hill. You can also get them to drive you to the top of the hill for the processional in the vintage car, which is so fun! The barn itself is nice (for us photographers) because it is open on both ends, which gives us more light to catch all the action.
Searles Castle Wedding
OMG - well, this is the thought that crossed my mind the first time I drove up the long, winding road to Searles Castle. Amazing that this place is so hidden away. The inside of the castle is great for smaller weddings or off-season, otherwise there’s room for a tented reception there on the lawn. A truly unique wedding venue in southern New Hampshire, especially if you want the feel of being transported to an authentic English Tudor castle.
Woodstock Inn & Brewery Wedding
I am loving that brewery weddings are quickly becoming as popular as winery weddings! Especially because New Hampshire has some awesome breweries, and in amazing locations. Woodstock is right near Lincoln in the heart of the White Mountains, which is basically a no-brainer with beautiful backdrops for your wedding.
McLane Audubon Wedding
Looking for someplace a little offbeat? Check out the McLane Audubon Center in Concord! Since it’s part of Audubon, of course the natural scenery is beautiful, but there are cute spaces inside too. Shannon and Jeff had a gorgeous October wedding there.
Allrose Farm Wedding
Allrose Farm is a newer venue that I was so happy to shoot at last year! It’s been gorgeously updated - the farmhouse is available for hanging out and getting ready, and the barn has a beautiful fireplace. The rolling hills out back are great for games, or the ceremony in front of grand old oak with the swing.
Stonewall Farm Wedding
Another new-to-me venue! I don’t know about the rest of the year, but I can tell you - if you visit in the fall, it will knock your socks off. This old barn has been renovated to an amazing wedding venue, with so many beautiful backdrops, and it still has that rustic feel, and is a working farm!
Nashua Country Club Wedding
You can’t go wrong with a classic Country Club wedding, and Nashua is a great spot for it, especially if you have guests coming from the Boston area, it’s super easy to get to. The inside is gorgeous - not too fussy, just classic and elegant, and there are some great spots along the golf course for photos!
Inn at Pleasant Lake Wedding (Again!)
I couldn’t help adding another wedding at the Inn at Pleasant Lake. Heather and Tom’s wedding had the reception in the tent on the lawn at the Inn, and I love all the details.
Grey Shingles Camp Wedding
This was a such a fun and unique wedding venue! Grey Shingles is a camp was recently renovated. They have these cute little cabins that are completely updated, no need for sleeping bags or camp stove. You have all the amenities of home, but you can step right outside into the fun surroundings of camp! Maren and Eli had an intimate wedding there and had a gorgeous set up inside the recreation barn for their dinner - check out the details!
Elopement at Sabbaday Falls
I thought I’d throw this on the list in case you’re thinking of an amazing spot to elope in the White Mountains! Sabbaday Falls is definitely worth the short hike up to the falls, where Abby and Ryan exchanged vows - just the two of them, the officiant and me! Well, and a few passers-by.
Smuttynose Brewery Wedding
Months later, Abby and Ryan had their wedding reception at Smuttynose, another brewery wedding, and we were able to get some really fun shots in the brewery itself.
Atkinson Country Club Wedding
I love Atkinson Country Club! Maybe because it’s one of the closest places on this list to where I live? Maybe! But no, they seriously do an amazing job there, and the gardens and grounds are immaculate and beautiful for photos. The ballroom is also a magnificent space for a wedding reception.
Shattuck Golf Club Wedding
I don’t get over to the Western edge of New Hampshire very often, but the views from Shattuck - WOW… We were driving all around the golf club (one of the most unique ones I’ve been to), up and down hills and all of a sudden these grand views came up and I was like “wait! Stop the golf cart!!” Such a beautiful place, right in Jaffrey, NH - with beautiful views of Mount Monadnock.
Pat’s Peak Wedding
Pat’s Peak is not just for skiing! Of course I had never been there before myself (not a skiier, I’m too chicken), so it was so fun to explore all around the empty ski resort for Laurel and Matt’s wedding. The backdrop wasn’t too bad in October, I have to say! There are several different reception rooms depending on your needs and the size of your guest count.
Sheraton Portsmouth Wedding
Can’t beat a downtown Portsmouth wedding! I always love walking around Portsmouth for engagement sessions, but I don’t get there too often for weddings. So, I was really excited to get the chance to photograph Sydney and Ryan’s wedding at the Sheraton Portsmouth. It was lightly raining that day, so they had to move their ceremony indoors, which is a lovely light-filled space, and had lots of room for their many guests.
Sky Meadow Country Club Wedding
A classic wedding venue right in Nashua - it makes it very convenient for people all over New England! It’s a country club, so it’s basically a blank canvas to bring your vision to life with decor. They have a dedicated little garden space outside for photos, which I love! Especially because there are some tall trees, which helps in the summertime for some much needed shade.
Granite Rose Wedding
The Granite Rose is becoming one of my favorites (and not just because it’s only 15 minutes from my house! Haha). I shot Amy and Shaun’s winter wedding there, and everything was fabulous. The grounds are beautiful for photos, and the inside has so much light (a photographer’s dream!), skylights and windows galore. Definitely put this one on your list to check out, in Hampstead, NH.
Grant Summit Hotel at Attitash Wedding
The Grand Summit Hotel at Attitash is a beautiful spot for your wedding in the heart of the White Mountains. In the middle of the forest, with a mountain view, there is no better place for a wedding if you love the great outdoors, but still want the comforts of an amazing hotel space. Brian and Kyrsten ended up having their ceremony indoors due to rain, but there is also a great spot outside with a gazebo for your outdoor ceremony.
