Camp Mataponi Wedding || Joe and Molly
What a perfect day for Maine lakeside wedding! Molly and Joe decided to have their wedding at Camp Mataponi, right on Sebago Lake… It provided a beautiful backdrop for a weekend-long celebration. I knew going into the day that they wanted to focus on being in the moment and not so much on posed photos, which is totally fine by me!
Being a wedding photographer means I get to do a lot of things - fun and beautiful portraits, documentary style of the whole day, detail photos of your venue, florals, etc. But I think this is the first time I can say I also caught the action like a sports photographer! Molly and Joe decided to start their wedding day at Camp Mataponi with an all-hands-on-deck game of softball, with everyone participating (one family vs. the other), even with special shirts for the occasion. The only rule? All players had to have a drink in their hands at all times! Now that’s a way to start a very fun wedding day!

Their dog was a fixture throughout the day… Probably a major plus to having Camp Mataponi all to yourself for a long wedding weekend is that you can bring your pets too and they can be a part of everything.

Some clouds and thunder almost made an appearance, but thankfully held off for a little bit!
Molly and Joe were surrounded by the love of their friends and family and it just shone through all day. You could tell how much everyone supported them, and their infectious energy
We did very few posed photos (Molly and Joe wanted to spend every second they could with their guests!), but thankfully we caught a few before the rain started.
