Glen Magna Wedding || Diane and Ulysses
What a spectacular day for Diane and Ulysses! I really had such a good time at this wedding, and loved how go-with-the-flow the whole day was. Everyone had a fabulous time, which I hope you will see in the photos! And of course just to top it off, it was at one of my favorite wedding venues, Glen Magna Farms, in Davners, MA.
And from the bride, Diane's, look back on her goals for the day:
We really wanted to make it a reflection of us, so we incorporated things that we love and that reflect our relationship, hence books as centerpieces, antique map decorations, and custom cocktails that matched our favorite fandoms. The two biggest goals were that our ceremony be meaningful to us and that everyone had a chance to eat, drink, and be merry.
I love that! Y'all definitely did it. Congratulations you two!
From Diane:
The ceremony was very emotional for us! With the help of our officiant, Rev. Dr. Alan Kimber, we worked hard to ensure that the ceremony was reflective of us, what we want from our relationship, and our ideals. We wrote our own vows, and we didn't show them to one another prior to the ceremony, so our individual promises to each other were a surprise! One of the things we loved most about the ceremony was how there was both laughter and happy tears. It really drove home that this was about us and our life together.
What is one suggestion you have for other couples who are planning their weddings?
Be organized, and it's never too early to work on the planning! There are so many moving parts that organization is key to not losing your mind during the process. We had spreadsheets and timelines and a project management board to keep us on track, and by the week of the wedding we had nothing left to do but enjoy ourselves.
