Kittery Beach Engagement Session || Chris and Sarah

Could you ever imagine that November in Maine would be like this?? It was a gorgeous, early November Saturday and we had unseasonably warm weather for Chris and Sarah’s engagement session at Seapoint Beach in Kittery. I am so glad that they introduced me to this out-of-the-way spot, that was just amazing for pictures on the beach, on the rocks, in the fields, etc. So many beautiful backdrops! And I got to drive through quaint downtown Kittery and along the coasts, which was just gorgeous.

And Chris and Sarah might’ve started out feeling a bit awkward, but after a bit they were just naturals in front of the camera.

I love hearing about how people met, fell in love and got engaged! Sarah was kind enough to share their story:

I met my best friend, Dan, in college and he was set to graduate a year after me. Once I left, he had to find new friends to hang out with. They became fast friends, and when I came back to the city for graduate school, Dan tried to get me to come hang out with this new friend group. I was just so busy with school I wasn’t interested. That is, until I saw a photo of Dan hanging out with his friends. There was a guy in one I offhandedly commented was cute. Apparently this friend was quite the ladies man! I ended up coming to meet the group on Halloween and there he was in all his glory, dressed as a (very hairy) lifeguard. We had a bit of a spark, but it’s not until the following Halloween that anything happened. That next year, we revealed to each other we always had an attraction to each other. But not wanting to disrupt the friend group, we decided to keep it secret. Stolen kisses, looks from across the room, and leaving from gatherings at separate times (just to get into the same uber). Eventually we told our friends and they were ecstatic! Since then, we’ve moved in together, we have a year and a half old dog we love like a child, and have officially become integrated into each other’s families. This September, he popped the question on a beach where we had a lot of meaningful memories, including exchanging seaweed wedding rings! He has taught me what love truly is. I have never known what it is to be loved so fully and unconditionally. He makes me better, he makes me stronger, he supports me through any and everything and I could not be more thankful for him magically ending up in my life. I can’t wait for our lives together.

Didn’t I say there were sooo many beautiful spots for photos at Seapoint Beach in Kittery? I mean, wow! I could’ve walked around for hours, but then there’s this whole pesky sunset thing…
