Plimoth Patuxet Wedding || Shannon and Conor

I have been so excited to share Shannon and Conor’s amazing wedding at Plimoth Patuxet! I don’t know why it’s taken me almost a year (life? Busiest wedding season ever? Maybe)… Anyhow, this wedding was an absolute blast. Shannon and Conor have an infectious energy that just spreads to everyone around them - they are so easy to laugh and just had these huge smiles on their faces all day long. Not to mention it was the most gorgeous day of the year - one of those spectacular early October days - and a spectacular venue to get married, at Plimoth Patuxet.

We started at Hotel 1620 in downtown Plymouth, MA. Then we went to Brewster Gardens for some photos (never been there before - great spot!), before heading over to Plimoth Patuxet and the Hornblower Gardens for the ceremony. The gardens were in bloom, the sun was perfect… What can I say, I’m still swooning.

I’ve asked Shannon some questions about the wedding, and her answers are throughout in italics.

How did you meet your partner?
We went to middle school together, Conor was two years older than me and I voted for him when he ran for mayor of the school. We reconnected in high school when he and my older brother became closer friends -- stayed in touch ever since!

What were your goals for your wedding day?
My goal was to be present and take in all the little moments! I never really envisioned what my wedding day would look like but I just wanted it to be a nice day, outdoors, with a lot of greenery - success! :)

Finally! Photos from this phenomenal wedding at Plimoth Patuxet

The day started in my hotel suite with all my mom and bridesmaids. My bridemaids put together a album with a bunch of old pictures and notes wishing me well on my big day *cue the tears*

Did I mention how much I love love love Conor’s green velvet jacket? So dapper!

And how gorgeous is Shannon? Shannon’s bridesmaids were the best hype team while we were doing photos (and throughout the day, really). And what a pretty spot we found at Brewster Gardens!

Meanwhile, my second photographer got some great shots of the guys over at Plimoth Patuxet. No first look for Shannon and Conor! They wanted that moment when she walked down the aisle.

And what a beautiful moment!

I was extremely nervous about having the spotlight on me but the minute that things got going and I saw Conor I felt a sense of relief. The ceremony was definitely my favorite part of the day. The rest of the day was a whirlwind but we had a great time with all of our friends and family.

Conor and Shannon didn’t stop having a great time during their ceremony - obviously. What a fun and beautiful wedding ceremony!

Yay! I love capturing moments like these.

You have a very calming energy - just an overall pleasure to work with. On a day where there's a lot of stress, you did a wonderful job of going with the flow and making life easier for Conor and I. Not to mention - you take beautiful, natural pictures which I love. I didn't have any hesitations - I had seen your work and just loved that your photos weren't overly filtered. I think these are pictures I will love in years to come.

Oh my gosh, there were so many funny toasts…

What were your first reactions to the photos?
Surprised! I felt like things were so fast moving and Conor and I can be a bit awkward in front of a camera. The photos far exceeded my expectations.

What is one suggestion you have for other couples who are planning their weddings?
Drown out the noise! This day is about you and your partner - and you and your partner only! Don't let the outside pressure take away from your special day.
