Hey there, I’m Brett!

After almost twenty years, I love my job more than ever. A time to celebrate love and come together with your closest friends and family - what’s better than that? I am so lucky I have been able to be a witness to hundreds of couples saying “I do.”

What do you really need to know about me? Know that I am there to help make your vision a reality, before and during your wedding day, and that I will be a calm and relaxing presence throughout the entire experience.

Almost all of my couples come to me saying that they feel weird in front of the camera and worried about how their photos will turn out. But of course they want those gorgeous, Pinterest-worthy shots!

My laid-back attitude will help put you at ease, helping your true personalities shine through (with some simple and fun guidance for the posed photos). And my quiet and calm nature makes it easy for me to blend into the background to get tons of candid photos that you will make you laugh and cry.

“These are absolutely incredible! We're both so blown away by how fantastic these are and the incredible amount of emotion you captured! I can't even begin to tell you how happy we were to see such beautiful photos that are so completely true to the experience of the day. We both laughed AND cried looking at the amazing moments you captured over the course of the afternoon and evening. Thank you again for being such a pleasure to work with and doing such a wonderful job with these, we couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. These are truly something else.

Feeling the love!

“After seeing the first five photos, we were amazed. We couldn’t wait for the next installment! A few days later, we saw the Facebook album go up of 50+ photos and put it up on the TV so we could really look at them. For every single photo, we just kept saying ‘Wow’. We really could not believe how good these photos were. They captured small moments and details that we didn’t even know that happened. We saw the best possible versions of ourselves and guests. We can truly relive every single moment of our wedding day for the rest of our lives! We could not have made a better decision than to go with Brett. ”

Frequently Asked Questions & Answers

How long have you been a photographer?

I first started shooting when I was a teenager (hello, school newspaper!), attended Bennington College for fine arts photography, and officially started my business in 2005. I can’t believe it’s been almost twenty years now!

How many weddings have you photographed?

I’ve photographed over 450 weddings since I began in 2005. So many weekends filled with love and happiness - it’s been such a blast!

We want to add on/change the package, can we do that?

Absolutely! I want you to get exactly what you want, so I am always happy to customize the package for your needs.

What is a print/album credit?

The print/album credit is a dollar amount you can spend with me for professional prints/canvas and heirloom albums. Instead of offering a certain print set or album in each collection, I choose to do a credit so you can get exactly what you want.

Do we need a second photographer?

I photograph most weddings alone, so generally I would say no, I don’t think it’s a necessity. However, there are certain instances where of course I can’t be in two places at once! I’ve written a whole blog post on if you should hire a second photographer.

Do we need an engagement session?

That’s up to you! Would you like to get some fun, beautiful photos of the two of you for your save-the-dates, wedding website, or guest book? Or to share on social media? Or just because? It also gives us a chance to get to know each other more, and a bit of practice in front of the camera before the big day. Plus, you get to choose the location, so if you always wanted a beach wedding but just couldn’t make it happen, we can do beach photos! Or wherever is meaningful to you.

Do we have the rights to the images?

You will have the personal printing rights to the images. That means that you can share them on your own website/social media, get prints made, make your albums/canvas, etc. You would not have the right to sell/profit from the images (for example, selling them to a magazine).

How many photos will we get and when will we get them?

I can’t guarantee a certain amount of photos, but typically you will receive around 100-150+ images per hour of photography coverage. Your online gallery will be up within eight weeks of the wedding, and previews are up within the week of the wedding.

We want to book you but aren’t sure what options we want!

You can book me by saving the date with a contract and retainer and then choosing later.

Can we do a payment plan?

Yes, I can do a customized payment plan based on your needs. Just let me know! Traditional payments are $1000 retainer due at the time of booking, and final balance due a week before the wedding day.

How do I book you for my wedding?

That’s my favorite question! To book me for your wedding day, simply let me know what package and options you’d like, and we’ll go from there! The next step would be for me to put together the contract - once I receive the signed contract and retainer, we’ll be all set!
