Cape Cod Wedding || Meaghan and Eric
I love having all this extra time to go back and find these amazing weddings that I didn’t get a chance to blog! Meaghan and Eric got married a few years ago in Cape Cod, at the Dennis Inn. This was such a fun and relaxed day and I’m so glad I got to be a part of it!
I asked Meaghan some questions about the wedding, her answers are in italics throughout.
We wanted our wedding day to feel like a big family party. We really wanted all of our guests to feel comfortable and welcomed and be able to relax and have a great time. Both of us are laid back and wanted to have a completely stress free day, which we did!
What is one suggestion you have for other couples who are planning their weddings?
Relax and enjoy. Even if things don’t go according to plan, most of your guests won’t notice and will still have a great time if they see you having fun. Make it what you want, and not what you think other people want.

The Dennis Inn is a smaller spot - so the whole wedding takes over the Inn for the day. The room they use for the bridal suite is just perfect - full of cute little details, but also lots of light. The guys got ready at an AirBNB down the street, which was super convenient for them to just walk on over when they were done getting ready.
Eric and his groomsman hung out together and enjoyed a lazy morning. My bridesmaids and I got ready together at the Dennis Inn in the upstairs suite. One of my bridesmaids put together a great playlist and we hung around, danced, and enjoyed some delicious food.
Meaghan’s mom was so amazing all day - this is the first time seeing her daughter all ready for her wedding day <3
And then the bridesmaids’ first reactions!
A super sweet first look!
Does this backdrop not scream “classic Cape Cod wedding”? I thought it was great for the wedding party photos.
It was so wonderful to get the sneak peak photos right after the wedding – it was so fun to relive the day right away. When we got the rest of the photos, we loved seeing all the little things we missed during the night – it was fun to see who was talking to who and laugh about the fun dancing photos.
We don’t love being photographed but felt the engagement shoot really helped to see what we liked and didn’t like and feel a little bit more comfortable in front of the camera.
During the ceremony, we felt mostly happy and excited mixed with some nervousness. We were happy to hear each other’s vows, which we both wrote and didn’t share with each other before the ceremony.
I loved how unobtrusive you were during the whole wedding and were able to capture some wonderful candid shots. You captured everything we requested and were able to corral everyone for the family and bridal party photos.
The party was the best part – we loved being able to see all our family and friends and had the best time celebrating with everyone.
