Indian Pond Country Club Wedding || Melissa and Jamil
I try to blog most of my weddings, but sometimes I just get too busy... Well, I couldn't let this one get left behind! It is from 2016, and was such a blast to be a part of. Melissa and Jamil had a daytime wedding at Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, Massachusetts. We had an absolutely amazing time at their engagement session at the Crane Estate and Crane Beach in Ipswich (darn, need to blog that one too because they crushed it!)... And I have to say their wedding did not disappoint. Everyone had such a great time - you usually don't see that much dancing during a daytime wedding but DJ Ron had everyone out on the dance floor the whole afternoon! And Melissa and Jamil were not only one of the most laid-back, hilarious couples I've ever met, but also just the sweetest.
Ceremony & Reception: Indian Pond Country Club, Kingston, MA
Notes from Melissa and Jamil on their wedding day...
Our goals for our wedding day were to just enjoy ourselves, our family and becoming newly weds! We promised each other that we would not stress out about everything being “perfect” and reminded ourselves that if something did go wrong, our guests wouldn’t even know about it. Our plan worked because everything to us was pretty near perfect and we couldn’t have asked for a better day!!

My (Melissa’s) day started with waking up at 4:30AM after a sleepless night! I began my day but gathering all my belongings, heading to the salon and started a relaxing morning filled with lots of laugh, beautiful hairstyles and fabulous makeup!
(Jamil’s) day started well rested waking up around 8:00AM, grabbed something to eat at the hotel, headed to the venue and began getting dressed for the day.
Could Melissa be a more gorgeous and glowing bride? And I love her blue shoes peeking out!
I didn't notice until I was editing this shot, but Jamil's face on the left side of the image! :D
I've said it once, but I'll say it again, this was one of the most fun wedding ceremonies I think I've been to! Melissa and Jamil were definitely having fun up there. I'm glad that Rebecca Curtis of Curtis Wedding Films was there to capture it on video!
This was my first time shooting a wedding at the Indian Pond Country Club - it's a really beautiful venue! And they did a fabulous job with everything (if I remember correctly, and since it has to do with food, I probably do - amazing brunch buffet! Yum)
What is one suggestion you have for other couples who are planning their weddings?
Don’t sweat the small stuff! When all is said and done, you (along with your guests) won’t even know what went wrong and as long as you focus on the love that surrounds you, absolutely nothing can ruin your special day!
Definitely a perfect day! Thanks you guys, it was so great to be a part of it.
